Privacy Policy

Information we use

You can play without creating an account. The game saves your progress, preferences, virtual items, and Garden data on your device.

We collect a randomly generated installation identifier and gameplay activity, such as levels, scores, results, play duration, and in-game interactions, to diagnose problems and improve the game.

We do not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location. If you contact us, we use the information you provide to respond. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in garden names or support messages.

Notifications and sharing

With your permission, the game can send harvest reminders. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising. Service providers may process gameplay data on our behalf to operate the game. We may also disclose information when required by law. External services you choose to use, such as app stores or sharing services, have their own privacy policies.

Apple Game Center

On iOS, Smash Bugs supports Apple Game Center. If you are signed in, the game submits your highest completed Journey level to Apple for leaderboard rankings. Your Game Center nickname, avatar, and leaderboard score may be visible to other players.

You can play without signing in to Game Center. Game Center does not back up or synchronize your local game save.

Apple processes Game Center information under its Game Center & Privacy notice. You can manage your Game Center account and privacy settings on your device.

Storage and your rights

Clearing app data or uninstalling the game can remove locally saved progress, subject to your device’s backup settings. This does not automatically delete gameplay records already sent to us. We keep server-side gameplay records and raw logs for 90 days (approximately three months) for game improvement and troubleshooting. Records older than 90 days are removed by automated daily cleanup, and raw logs are also subject to automatic storage expiration. Deletion takes place during scheduled processing rather than at an exact instant.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to complain to a data-protection authority.

We may update this policy as the game changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or request consent when required.
